2021: The Start

Dexter develops & patents the world's first smart home dryer sensor

2022: The Data

Testing shows that VentWatch pays for itself if moderate to severe blockage is detected.

2023: The App

Dexter releases the VentWatch App, enabling multi-vent manager, remote notifications and more.

Our goal is to bring VentWatch to every dryer in the world, reducing global carbon emissions and energy consumption.

Each year, dryers in the United States use roughly 60 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. That is equal to the entire annual electrical usage of Massachusetts.

Many household laundry dryers in the United States consume as much energy per year as a new energy efficient refrigerator, clothes washer and dishwasher, combined.
